This is a very short report.

Let me start right away with the presentation of the new EIF Board which will work from now on, until 2015:

4 - EIF website: it's a window on our activities, history and presence that needs everybody's help and attention to be kept lively and up-to-date. Anja and Olaf keep doing their best, but they need our active co-operation. We will send some simple guidelines on how to help and the Board's Secretary will try to have all EIF members comply with them.
5 - EIF administration: Svenska Tecknare has offered to take the role of administrator and invoice all members for the yearly fee and after that. use the moneys according to EIF needs as best agreed upon by the Board. Fees are 500€ for Ordinary members (with the right to be part of the Board) and 100€ for Supporting members.
6 - IAF - International Authors Forum membership: as it had previously been agreed upon by the majority of the Board, being IAF members and pay their 250€ fee is in our best interest. The fact is that IAF probably can accept only officially registered organisations among its members; as BNO is (probably, but to be confirmed) already associated to IAF, the rest of EIF members, may pay BNO their part of the fee.
7 - EIF Survey(s): EIF Secretary's wife is a qualified survey expert and can help us better understand what questions we have to include in our European Survey. We are going to forward Peter Diamond three surveys which have been already set up and carried out: IO's, Svenska Tecknare's and BNO's. Before starting with this project we must better understand what are we aiming to.

9 - ELECTION OF THE NEW BOARD 2013-2015: the election has been carried out swiftly and without any problem. Being AOI's Derek Brazell not physically present at the General Assembly, the Board has accepted him as a candidate voted to accept him as a Board member. The same has happened for APIM/FADIP's Sally Cutting who had to leave just before the vote. The new Board has also voted to accept Kuvittajat within the EIF Board once their own Board has decided if joining EIF as an Ordinary member.
10 - What happens next? It's been proposed to meet again for next year's EIF Annual Assembly in Stockholm, where Svenska Tecknare is thinking to host a meeting with EIF members' administrators.
It's been agreed to continue EIF's support for the collaboration with AI at Bologna Children's Book Fair.
It's been suggested to study yearly European campaigns of 'awareness' on issues such as 'Don't work for free', 'Royalties', 'Fair and unfair competitions', etc....
Now starts the process of transfer of information and communication of the results of this General Assembly, including:
- the transfer of this mail address to Cathrine
- the updating of the EIF Board mailing list (please check these addresses and let everyone know if you want to add more of your representatives to be included in it)
- the updating of the EIF website with the presentation of the new Board
- the updating of the EIF mailing list as there are some names which have to be removed
etc.

4 - EIF website: è una finestra sulle nostre attività, sulla nostra storia e presenza che ha bisogno di attenzione e aiuto da parte di tutti in modo da esser mantenuta viva ed aggiornata. Anja e Olaf continuano a fare del proprio meglio, ma hanno bisogno del nostro contributo e supporto. Vi manderemo delle semplici guideline in modo da poter aiutare il Segretario del Direttivo ad avere una completa panoramica dei soci.
5 - EIF administration: Svenska Tecknare si è offerta di ricoprire il ruolo di Amministratore e di mandare in seguito fattura a tutti i membri per la quota annuale. Il denaro raccolto sarà utilizzato in base agli obiettivi identificati dal Direttivo. Le qurote per i membri ordinari aderenti saranno di 500 Euro (con la possibilità di entrare a far parte del Direttivo), per i sostenitori 100 Euro.
6 - IAF - International Authors Forum membership: Come precedentemente espresso all’unanimità dal Direttivo, essere membri dell’IAF sottoscrivendo la quota annuale di partecipazione di 250 Euro è nei nostri interessi. Il punto è che IAF può accettare come membri solo organizzazioni legalmente costituiti tra i suoi e noi ancora non lo siamo; dal momento che BNO è (probabilmente, ma resta in attesa di conferma) già associato a IAF , il resto dei membri dell’EIF, può pagare a BNO la propria parte di tariffa.
7 - EIF Survey(s): la moglie del Segretario dell’EIF è una qualificata esperta di sondaggi e può aiutarci a capire meglio quali domande possiamo includere nel nostro Sondaggio Europeo. Siamo in procinto di trasmettere a Peter Diamond tre sondaggi che sono già stati messi a punto e redatti : quello della IO, Svenska Tecknare, e and BNO. Prima di cominciare con questo progetto però dobbiamo capire meglio a chi ci stiamo rivolgendo.

9 – ELEZIONE DEL NUOVO DIRETTIVO 2013-2015: l’elezione è stata portata a termine in modo pacato e brillante, senza alcun problema. Essendo Derek Brazell di AOI non fisicamente presente all’Assemblea Generale, il Direttivo lo ha accettato in quanto votato in qualità di membro del Direttivo. La stessa procedura è stata adottata per Sally Cutting di APIM/FADIP che è dovuta assentarsi prima del voto. Il Nuovo Direttivo ha anche accettato l’Associazione Kuvittajat all’interno del Direttivo EIF dal momento in cui il proprio Direttivo ha espresso la decisione di entrare a far parte dell’EIF come membro Ordinario.
10 – Cosa succede poi? E’ stato proposto di incontrarci di nuovo per la prossima Assemblea Annuale di EIF a Stoccolma, dove Svenska Tecknare sta pensando di promuovere un incontro tra i membri amministratori di EIF
E’ stato deliberato di continuare nella collaborazione e al supporto delle iniziative di AI nell’ambito della Children's Book Fair a Bologna.
E’ stato suggerito che annualmente sia promosso uno studio di campagne europee di sensibilizzazione su istanze quali in “Non si lavora gratis”, “Royalties”, “Competizione giuste o ingiuste”
Ora comincia il processo di trasferimento ela comunicazione dei risultati dell’Assemblea Generale, i quali includono:
_Il trasferimento dell’indirizziario mail a Catherine
_l’aggiornamento dell’indirizziario mail dei Membri del Direttivo (per favore controllate la presenza del vostro nominativo corretto e rendete noto se desiderate che altri vostri rappresentanti entrino a farne parte)
_l’aggiornamento del sito web con la presentazione del nuovo Direttivo.
